How We Work

Many families in Ekiti State live in rural communities with limited access to basic services. From the start, the Sam Anisulowo Foundation has focused on partnering with trusted local organizations to deliver education sponsorships, vocational training, small grants, and community health initiatives to the communities with the greatest needs — particularly in Irepodun/ Ifelodun local government.

Our Approach

We partner with trusted local organizations to support community-led programs in education, livelihoods, and health across Ekiti State. Our work extends beyond initial activities — we invest in monitoring, evaluation, and local capacity so initiatives continue to deliver results long after projects are launched.

Assessment

We work with local leaders to assess community needs like education, livelihood, and basic necessities, ensuring projects address the most urgent gaps.

2

Implementation

Our local partners implement programs — from educational sponsorships to skills training and small grants — with community involvement and transparency.

3

Sustainability

To ensure long-term impact, we build local capacity, monitor progress, and support follow-up activities so communities can continue thriving.

We’re community-focused

Our partners take existing community resources, geography, and population into account when choosing the best programs. From education sponsorships and skills training to small grants and food assistance, we work to fund the most appropriate support for each community — with a priority on Ekiti State and the Irepodun/Ifelodun local government where poverty prevents many families from meeting daily needs and sending children to school.
